On July 24th, the halls of Southern Trace Rehabilitation and Care Center in Bryant, Arkansas, were filled with the joyful sounds of gospel music, thanks to the talented musicians from East Union Missionary Baptist Church. Their visit brought more than just melodies—it brought memories, smiles, and a deep sense of connection.
Music has a special way of reaching the heart, and for our elders, those gospel greats stirred something timeless. Familiar hymns and heartfelt harmonies reminded many of church services from years past, family gatherings, and the comfort of faith. It wasn’t long before hands were clapping, voices were joining in, and spirits were lifted.
At Southern Trace, we believe in nurturing the whole person—body, mind, and soul. Events like this are more than entertainment; they’re moments of joy and reflection that enrich our community and remind us of the power of shared experiences.
We’re grateful to East Union Missionary Baptist for their kindness, their music, and their ministry. Our elders are still talking about it—and already looking forward to the next visit.
